Goldberry Herbs was established in July 2021, by medical herbalist Kim Creswell, who takes patients in person across Somerset, Dorset and Devon, as well as internationally via the internet.
I have been using plants to treat myself, my family and my friends for all of my adult life. Spending over a decade travelling with horses through the English countryside it was imperative to know which herbs to use for health. I began formal medical training during my 40’s, prior to this my profession was as an environmental artist (www.kimcreswell.co.uk). During five years of intense medical study I learnt in detail how herbs interact with the human body, how to diagnose pathologies, physiological patterns, nutrition, counselling skills and referral. The training I received was very much up to date and evidence based but also included historic uses of plant medicine. I have studied the active constituents of plants, how to prepare medicines from plants, and how to prescribe herbal medicine safely alongside pharmaceutical medication. As a person who has spent much time fully absorbed in the natural world, I balance scientific knowledge with a keen interest in the energetic and esoteric.
As a Mother, Grandmother, and owner/manager of an off-grid small holding and nature reserve , I aim to promote knowledge which empowers patients to create an internal and external environment consistent with good health.
