My name is Andrew (Andy) Hill. I have lived in Somerset for most of my life except for 10 years when I enjoyed living in Reading. I have a wonderful partner called Belle a Pilates teacher from South Petherton, and two amazing sons called Arthur and Sebastian.
It is a great privilege to work as a hypnotherapist and I am lucky enough to say that I love my work. I wholeheartedly believe in the type of therapy I provide because it is positive, authentic and I keep seeing people making positive changes in their lives by having hypnotherapy sessions.
I am inspired by nature, human compassion, friendly people, small acts of kindness and of course, this precious gift of life. I believe that my best qualities are my ability to connect with people from all walks of life, to recognise the good and the potential in people, to trust and be trusted.
I have a Diploma is Solution-focused Hypnotherapy awarded by CPHT Plymouth. Gaining this qualification involved over 450 hours of teaching and study, attendance at all modules, observed and video-recorded practice, and the presentation of case study clients. I am a registered member of the Association of Solution Focused Hypnotherapists.
I also have a diplomas in Clincal Hypnotherapy. This is the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (the ‘HPD’) awarded by the National Council for Hypnotherapy. This was a huge achievement for me and required the submission of an extensive portfolio of evidence showing my understand of clinical hypnotherapy in practice. This allows me to us ‘MNCH (Reg.)’ after my name.
I also have a clear Enhanced DBS (criminal record) check, regular supervision, appropriate insurances and undertake additional training each year. I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office because some of the information people share with us is personal and confidential.
I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, as suggested by the NHS for people who are considering hypnotherapy.
