I have spent many years learning and integrating Holistic Health practices. The most influential to me have been Shiatsu, Chi Gong and Internal Martial Arts.
I started learning Shiatsu in Switzerland in 2009 with a period of learning at the Bristol school and have continued to practice ever since, expanding my knowledge and skills with regular continued professional development (CPD). These have involved embodied dialogue, woman’s health, structural work, body tuning, counselling and group therapy.
Shiatsu has been part of an incredible tool set for me personally, bringing me a better quality of life and is a practice I like to use to support others through pain in the body and the inevitable challenges that we face in life mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Life is a constant learning and I integrate all the different facets of experience I have gained into my practice.

I also teach Chi Gong and Internal Martial Arts. I cook on retreats, particularly favouring foraged foods on the fire. I live closely with nature, respecting natures rhythm and integrating nature into mental health support work that I co-facilitate.
I am the lead herbal product developer for Land, Food, Medicine. A project devoted to cultivating our relationship to the Earth.
All of my work continues to influence how I understand health – not as an isolated state, but as a dynamic, living relationship between body, environment, and community.
Client Testimonial
“I’ve been receiving Shiatsu treatments from Laura for some years now. I’ve had quite a variety of problems which are very painful. Every time we have a session my pain is hugely relieved, I feel very relaxed and feel a lot better in myself. Laura is very present in her touch, she really listens and approaches each session with real tenderness, care and professionalism. She really has healing hands.” Anna
