Our Multi-bed clinic is now open to new clients
The Multi-Bed (Community) Acupuncture Clinic started in early 2009 and continues to provide quality treatment at a lower cost.
Acupuncture has been shown to be highly effective in treating many health disorders, but until now has only been available to those who can afford the costs of one-to-one consultations. Acupuncture can be beneficial in treating a wide range of illnesses and symptoms – from circulatory problems to neurological problems, headaches and back pain to general feelings of ill health or low energy.
Treating more often is better for more acute conditions such as back problems, sports injuries, after strokes, helping with IVF treatment or pregnancy sickness.
What is a Multi-Bed Acupuncture Clinic?
Jane Robinson spent some time working in a hospital in Nanjing, China in 2004, where patients went in for acupuncture about 3 times per week. She returned home feeling frustrated that in the UK people were not able to attend as often as they need to because of the prohibitive cost; she was determined to find a way to provide acupuncture treatment in a similar way to the Chinese system of healthcare and consequently set up a multibed practice at the clinic in 2009.
The acupuncturists use a large room with two treatment couches, screened off from each other. This means that the acupuncturists are able to move from one patient to another without leaving anyone unattended.
Your first appointment will be longer with the acupuncturist to enable them to take a full history. This appointment will be approx. one to one and a half hours and also includes your first treatment.
