Brief explanation of the therapy
Pregnancy is a joyous time, it can however be stressful as your body undergoes huge changes to cope with your ever growing bump.
Women come for a pregnancy massage for many reasons: to help balance their emotions, ease aching muscles and joints or to just get a little me time.
Aromatherapy massage does not just benefit you during the 9 months of pregnancy, it can also help relax you during labour. I can show your birthing partner basic massage techniques to help reduce labour pains and your stress levels, bringing a sense of calm to the birth.
Post pregnancy aromatherapy massage can be a great way to rejuvenate and nourish your body.
What can the client expect at the appointment
The treatment will take place in a peaceful room. The client will lie on a couch, with plenty of pillows for support. They will be asked to remove restrictive clothing, be covered in towels to keep them warm and to protect their dignity at all times.
Aromatherapy oils will be selected and blended to meet your needs, tailoring the treatment specifically to you. The treatment will be very relaxing and soothing to both you and your bump.
What will happen in a session
The initial treatment will include an initial 15 minutes consultation, followed by a 45 minutes massage treatment. All following treatments will last 1 hour.
During the consultation aromatherapy oils will be selected and blended specifically for your needs.
How many sessions should the client need before they see a result
After just one treatment the client will feel more relaxed and any aches and pains will feel improved. However everybody is different, therefore the number of treatments needed to see a long term improvement will depend on the condition being treated.
