Yulia Heaton

Yulia has been practicing Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine since 2008 when she qualified from the London College Of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Since then, she worked both independently and as a full-time employed acupuncturist at several clinics, mostly specialising in women’s health and treatment of infertility. More recently, she completed training in Si Yuan Balance Method acupuncture as taught by the late Dr Tan (https://www.siyuanbalance.com/dr-tan/) and is expanding her clinical interests in treating acute and chronic pain, autoimmune and gastro-intestinal conditions.

Yulia’s fascination with the human body and mind has led her to begin Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) training (https://www.anatomytrains.com/about-us/) and she is fully qualified in Anatomy Trains Structural Bodywork, as well as Myofascial Release (MFR). Outside of the clinic, Yulia owns and runs a Yoga Studio (www.exeteryoga.co.uk) in Exeter with her partner, Chris, teaches movement skills to BA Drama students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and continues to learn from the field of Functional Medicine.

Yulia is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
