Pilates with Nicola runs on a Thursday morning. Nicola is a Level 3 Matwork qualified Body Control Pilates teacher. Nicola qualified as a Pilates teacher in April 2011 and has been teaching full time for 6 years. Her own journey into Pilates started in her early twenties. She had Scoliosis all of her life, but after back packing the pain in her back was so severe that she could barely get out of bed in the morning. A physiotherapist introduced her to Pilates and after practicing for ten years she decided to take the plunge and train! And she hasn’t looked back since!
Although Pilates is recommended to help with specific conditions, it also offers many benefits to your general well being and health, for example:
Improved core strengthen
Improved muscle tone
Improved body awareness
Since qualifying Nicola has remained committed to continuing her professional development and has attended many workshops and courses to improve her knowledge.
Nicola has now been teaching Pilates for nearly 8 years. Recently she qualified as Franklin Method Spine and Back Trainer and is looking to further her Franklin training in the coming years. The Franklin Method approach can be applied to any movement to improve its function. The Goal is to create happy minds and healthy bodies through Dynamic Neurocognitive Imaginary (DNI)™
