During a Kundalini Yoga class we awaken our energy of consciousness in a way that sheds light on our self-imposed limitations, inviting us to think out of the box and develop our intuitive mind.  Kundalini Yoga has been described as an express train that shakes and wakes you up.  Brought to the Western world by Yogi Bhajan in the 1980s, it is a practice not to be taken lightly.  

Debbie’s Kundalini classes are a place of transformation.  During each class we will do a specific ‘kriya’.  This is a combination of exercises, meditation and mantra which work on  strengthening your nervous system, balancing your glandular system, purifying the body and calming the mind.  ‘Kriyas’ are all about energy; generating it, organising it and delivering us to a specific energetic state – particularly one of greater awareness.

Some ‘kriyas’ will leave you blissed out, feeling ‘high’ and on ‘cloud nine’.  Others may provoke you, confronting you to the core, both physically and mentally.  It is important to stay present and as I quote Kia Miller describes, ‘Accept pleasure and pain as part of the same journey to health and balance.’  We are building a connection to our Soul and our Soul’s work on this planet.  It is indeed where we start to make great strides towards living as enlightened beings.
