One to One Yoga Sessions

Explain briefly about the Therapy:

Yoga was traditionally taught by one teacher directly to one student, since it has always been understood that each yoga experience should be tailored to cater for the individual’s specific needs. They are the perfect way to work with any special health concerns, injuries or limitations that you may experience. Debbie can help you tailor and create specific yoga practices designed to help meet your unique goals.

What can the client expect at the appointment:

At the first appointment, Debbie will gather information about the client to build a picture of their general health history and well-being. This will allow her to gain some insight into how yoga can be implemented to help the client reach their goals. This may be followed by a gentle Yoga session.

What will happen in a session:

Debbie will provide a recommended path of yoga practice suitable for the client. Through reflective pranayama and asana practise, as well as observations, the client will gradually be lead closer towards their goal – whether the client wants to ‘use’ yoga as a way of managing an illness or injury, or indeed to take their physical ability to the next level.

How many sessions should the client need before they see a result:

This will vary from client to client depending on their personal goals. The benefits of yoga are immediate, with the right application and support. This journey will result in a physical and mental change and therefore so will the client’s needs for the sessions. It is important that the client attends at least the first three consecutive sessions, whereby a skeleton plan will be drawn up and trialled with the client. After this the client may continue with self-practice on a regular basis, whilst attending monthly reviews with Debbie to observe, ascertain and re-direct progress.
