TRACY BURKE

Tracy trained in Biodynamic craniosacral therapy at the Karuna Institute with Franklyn Sills in 2012 and currently holds clinics from Glastonbury, Wells, Yeovil and Exmouth.

Tracy originally trained as a Registered General Nurse in 1988 and has worked within a variety of settings in the NHS and New Zealand (theatre, recovery, acute medical admissions, acute surgical admissions, A&E, trauma, orthopaedics, vascular and colorectal surgery, gynaecology, urology, elderly care and ENT) currently she still works occasionally as a registered nurse throughout the South West.

Always having had a keen interest in health and the human body, Tracy has practised as an holistic therapist for over 15 years, having trained in Massage, Reflexology, Colour Therapy, Indian Head Massage and Thermal Auricular Therapy since returning from NZ in 1999. She now practises as a Craniosacral therapist and her understanding of the human system is greatly enhanced by her previous experience.

Being fascinated by the human body and it’s ability to renew and repair itself, to cope with the stress and strain of life and to continue to function. Her practice as a therapist is based on two fundamentals:

  • Every Human being has intrinsic  health and goodness at their core
  • Humans are physical, emotional, mental and spiritual beings and these aspects are interrelated

Tracy has a love of nature and the natural world, being on the land, tending her garden, singing, meditation, stillness, slow whole food rather than fast processed food and she has also had many years of Alexander Technique Lessons.
