LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

Practitoner

Tomoko Burgoine

Explain briefly about the Therapy

Lymphatic Drainage Massage uses light rhythmic strokes to alleviate various conditions related to the body's lymphatic system, helping to flush toxins and drain fluid from the body, supporting a healthy immune system.

What can the client expect at the appointment

The treatment will take place in a peaceful room.  The client will be asked to remove some of their clothing and to lie on a couch, they will be covered in towels to keep them warm and to protect their dignity at all times.

What will happen in a session

The initial treatment will include a 15 minutes consultation followed by 45 minutes massage treatment.  All following treatments will last 1 hour.

During the consultation the client will have the opportunity to discuss in detail what they hope to achieve from the treatment, the treatment can then be tailored for the individual clients needs.

How many sessions should the client need before they see a result

After just one treatment the client can notice an improvement.  Everybody is different, so the number of sessions needed to see a long term improvement will depend on the condition being treated. Treatments will be discussed further during the initial consultation.

What can the Therapy help

Manual Lymphatic Drainage can help the following:

·    Relieve fluid congestion: swollen ankles and legs, puffy eyes.
