LIFE COACHING & NLP

Life Coaching and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) short-term focussed therapy

Practitioner

Kate Hayden

Brief explanation of the Therapy

Coaching is forward thinking and focuses on moving people towards achieving goals in their careers, relationships, health and financial security helping to shift people out of a stuck position.  The process honours and respects emotional difficulties, but without allowing the past to interfere with moving forward.

What the client can expect at the appointment

In the first consultation session (1.5 hours) the practitioner will establish what the clients' issues are and in which direction they wish to go.  Subsequent sessions (50 minutes) will focus on achieving these goals and addressing any obstabcles.

What will happen in a session

The client chooses the subject of the session.  The coach is persistent in supporting the client to get where they want to be, identifying the practical steps they need to take to make their lives work for them.

How many sessions should the client need before they see a result

In the first four sessions the client would expect a change of perspective.  To sustain this shift they might need further supportive sessions periodically.

What can the therapy help

The therapy can help with the following:

  • Career change
  • divorce
  • children leaving home
  • those who want to find out what they want to do and be in life
  • loss of direction
  • weight loss
  • creating a fitter lifestyle
  • developing a more focused attitude
  • supporting exams
  • improving self-esteem
  • reminding clients that there are choices in life

Who would benefit from this type of therapy

Anyone facing a change or challenge, who wants to grasp the issues and take charge of the direction in which their life is going; those who want to be responsible for having a more productive and happier life.
