About Us

We originally started as an acupuncture clinic in Princes Street in 1979; we gradually expanded to include 10 complementary health practitioners, and we moved to the Avenue in 1989. We moved to our current premises in 2007 and now comprise over 25 practitioners, offering most of the more ‘mainstream’ complementary therapies.

Our move to Hendford from the Avenue was prompted by the need for more space and better parking facilities for our patients. But we also wished to bring another dimension to the service we offered – an opportunity for people to do more for themselves with regard to health. To this end we needed a teaching space to provide ongoing classes in Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Meditation and Stress Management amongst others, as well as to run courses & workshops.

70 Hendford appeared perfect for this, having a large conservatory (The Studio) at the back for classes, courses and conferences, alongside another large meeting room.

We are now also able to rent these rooms to outside organisations for their use.

Our ethos at Nine Springs clinic is to provide high quality, affordable, complementary healthcare with bona fide, well-trained practitioners. We work very much as a team, referring patients on for different therapies (within or outside of the clinic) when we consider it is appropriate. We also run a ‘multi-bed’ acupuncture clinic (similar to how they are run in China) to provide low-cost acupuncture, especially for those who need frequent treatment.
